Job Description

We are looking for a talented  Android Developer to join an R&D project in the healthcare domain.
You will work on developing a secure Android application with a user-friendly interface and a personal cabinet for storing and accessing medical data. This is an impactful role in a small, agile team where your contributions will directly support innovation in early cancer diagnostics.

Customer Overview:

Our client is a European research-driven med-tech company founded by a multidisciplinary group of scientists and healthcare professionals. Since 2017, they have been combining expertise in oncology, chemistry, and data science to deliver patient-oriented diagnostic solutions.

Today, they operate as an innovative SME backed by an international network of urology and IVD experts. The team actively collaborates with clinicians and researchers to bring cutting-edge solutions into real-world medical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a secure Android application using Kotlin.
• Implement user authentication and encrypted data storage.
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure smooth data flow between the server and app.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and healthcare experts to ensure platform reliability and compliance.
• Optimize performance and user experience for Android devices.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement of the development process.

Skills/Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in  Kotlin (Java experience is a plus).
• Experience with  Android SDK , Jetpack libraries, and Material Design guidelines.
• Knowledge of  RESTful APIs , JSON, and data integration.
• Familiarity with  Room ,  DataStore , or other local storage solutions.
• Experience publishing apps to  Google Play Store .
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing apps in healthcare or data-sensitive environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.
• Knowledge of mobile security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
