All Jobs > Architecture Principal - Senior Living The Architecture Principal will utilize their expertise to support business development efforts, provide project oversight, and act as a subject matter expert. This individual will play an active role in developing and leading strategic initiatives, closing leads generated by the business development team, providing early design direction, aligning expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role will interpret client needs, own their discipline’s quality standards, and work regularly with various project stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (subject to change, modification, etc. as seen fit by Company) are as follows but are not limited to: Business Development Support K2M Business Development with focus on Interior Design on larger proposals with respect to Scope, Fee and Stipulations Generate repeat business from existing clients Closing leads generated by Business Development Director / Sales Team Create strategies for targeting different Opportunities, Clients and Markets Develop marketing content for Architectural services and clients where they are the PIC and/or SME Ensure that the organization’s architecture related marketing output/content are consistent with the overall brand Develop Scope / Project Understanding, Proposals, Fee Calcs QA Proposals & Fee Calcs developed by Sales Team Developing Strategy and Leading / Participating in Presentations Coordinate with and back up other Principals/Leaders Project Oversight Review and Negotiate contract terms & conditions. Perform PIC Role for projects that they lead the initial proposal for as well as additional projects handed off by other leadership team members Lead the handoff process from proposal to project initiation with PM, Client and K2M Team (including subconsultants) Collaborate and communicate closely with design teams and other stakeholders to regularly deliver architectural design solutions for approval Develop and guide early design process, lead overall Architectural BOD Development and coordination of programming, site design, and building massing Act as a representative from K2M Leadership to ensure clients are satisfied and expectations are aligned and are being met Act in an advisory & supportive capacity to assist the PMs, Resource Leaders and K2M Team to navigate challenges and seize opportunities Subject Matter Expert Provide architectural direction and guidance to design teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and brand guidelines. Ensure that the organization’s creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand Perform Quality Assurance to ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables and their adherence to client and K2M standards. Mentor team on Pitching architectural designs confidently and clearly to clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of the design team. Mentor team, providing feedback and support, regarding design standards, and/or client brand Review creative visions and concept designs produced by the team Conduct internal group training sessions and 1:1 Training Foster a culture of learning and development within the team, encouraging skill enhancement and knowledge sharing. Requirements Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university 15+ years’ experience in the field of Architecture Licensed Architect Thorough knowledge of architectural design practices, construction methods, integration of engineering and other design disciplines, and building codes Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients Proficient in Revit Work Environment and Physical Demands The work environment and physical demands are consistent with that of an office setting.
