Associate Vice President, Consumer Strategy

Humana, a Fortune 100 healthcare leader, is seeking an accomplished Associate Vice President, Consumer Strategy to spearhead transformative, strategic initiatives that elevate membership growth, consumer experience, and health outcomes. This executive-level role is central to shaping Humana's consumer strategy, leveraging deep consumer insights and analytics to guide the enterprise's most critical strategic imperatives. As AVP, you will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teamsincluding Product, Marketing, Sales, Member Experience, Digital, and Clinicalto accelerate the evolution of Humana's consumer-centric strategies. You will guide high-impact projects from concept to execution, aligning the organization around innovative, consumer-centric strategies. This is a high-visibility position with significant influence on Humana's long-term growth and strategic direction.

The Consumer Strategy team drives Humana's mission by identifying new avenues of growth and advancing strategies that increase membership, retention, and health outcomes. This entrepreneurial team operates within Humana's Enterprise Growth organization, with a special focus on serving the needs of consumers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives (e.g., onboarding program), from ideation to execution, that drive consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Develop and implement innovative, consumer-centric strategies, leveraging data and analytics to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
• Set and track measurable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for strategic efforts, ensuring alignment and accountability across cross-functional partners.
• Deliver compelling analyses and executive-level presentations that frame strategic challenges, synthesize insights, and articulate actionable recommendations.
• Guide research and market analysis, including hypothesis development, industry benchmarking, competitor assessment, and financial modeling.
• Partner with senior leaders and members of the Executive Management Team to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
• Mentor and develop high-performing direct reports and project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in product management and strategy development within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Proven success in driving initiatives that identify and capture audience growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience leading executive-level presentations and building alignment across senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Track record of mentoring and developing talent.
• Ability to rapidly build trust with business leaders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership and management experience.
• Experience leading agile, cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise objectives.
• Deep expertise in consumer-centric strategy and innovation.

This position reports to the Vice President of Consumer Strategy. Remote work flexibility is available. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $184,800 - $254,100 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
