_*Bankruptcy Associate Attorney - Richmond, VA*_
_Conway Law Group PC, a boutique consumer and bankruptcy law firm, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will take ownership of a Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 docket, appear regularly in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and help clients navigate complex financial challenges with professionalism and empathy._
*Position Overview*
_You will manage bankruptcy cases from initial consultation through discharge or confirmation, represent clients in court, and work closely with our support team to ensure compliance and timely filings. This role is designed for an attorney with a desire to practice consumer bankruptcy law and a desire to continue building litigation and client advocacy skills._
_*Responsibilities*_
_- Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions using Jubilee Pro_
_- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other filings_
_- Represent clients at 341 meetings, confirmation hearings, and court appearances_
_- Communicate with clients regarding case status and documentation needs_
_- Ensure all filings comply with federal and local rules of the Eastern District of Virginia_
_- Use ZOHO CRM to manage client communications and workflow_
_- Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to manage caseloads effectively_
_*Required Qualifications*_
_- Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar_
_- Strong knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 procedures_
_- Excellent oral advocacy and legal writing skills_
_- Experience appearing in the Eastern District of Virginia Bankruptcy Court_
_- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently_
_- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills with financially distressed clients_
_*Preferred Qualifications*_
_- Familiarity with trustees and court personnel in the Richmond Division_
_- Experience in contested hearings, motions for relief, or adversary proceedings_
_- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus_

Pay: $61,671.78 - $80,000.00 per year
