Amentum is seeking an Industrial Building Systems Operator (BSO) team member for our client site in Pearl River, NY. The successful candidate will have outstanding preventative maintenance skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction. As a BSO, you are responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling the Building Automation System and providing an intermediate level of expertise in troubleshooting and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility mechanical and HVAC equipment/systems in a pharmaceutical environment. You will identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. Daily duties include monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) for alarms and abnormal trends, conducting preventive maintenance inspections and actions, performing basic troubleshooting, responding to alarm conditions, documenting deviations and corrective actions, operating facility equipment, performing routine building rounds, serving as initial contact for outside contractors, coordinating with security and janitorial staff, responding to work orders, recommending maintenance improvements, following safety guidelines, and other duties as assigned. The role requires teamwork, respect, cultural awareness, attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of relevant experience, ability to pass medical and security clearances, and physical ability to perform job tasks. Preferred qualifications include experience with BAS/BMS systems, HVAC and process mechanical systems, fire protection systems, pharmaceutical water systems, cGMP requirements, and maintenance/testing equipment. The position offers a competitive benefits package and hourly pay range of $27-32/hr based on qualifications.
