Are you a CAD enthusiast with a knack for precision and design? Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic, LLC is seeking a talented CAD Technician to be a key player in our dynamic team based in South Boston, VA. As a leading mechanical contracting company, we specialize in crafting top-notch mechanical systems for clients across Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina.

As an AutoCAD Technician, you'll play a crucial role in the planning and design phase of our projects, contributing to the creation of 2D & 3D drawings (including assembly drawings)that optimize mechanical/plumbingsystem installations. We cover both rennovations and new construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Design Excellence : Craft precise layouts using REVIT,focusing on Plumbing, Mechanical Piping, and HVAC systems. Trimble Equipment used on select installations.
Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teammates to produce coordination drawings and contribute to BIM projects.
Code Mastery: Utilize mechanical and electrical code resources to meet Building Code requirements and ensure safety.
Field Insights: Gather real-world data through site visits, measurements, and advanced technology tools.

Qualifications:

Expertise: Proficiency inREVIT (V24+), Adobe, and MS Office software.
Design Skills: Experience in Plumbing, Mechanical Piping, and HVAC system drawings.
Detail-Oriented :Understand the pre-fab process from start to finish (design, drawing, spooling, reports, shop interaction, field interaction) Comprehending contract drawings. Utilizing P&IDs, detail sheets and O&M Manuals for equipment.
