About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to join their global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, communication, and oversight of all aspects of compliance on a global scale. This includes partnering with HR and IT to foster a strong ethics and compliance culture, advising on a range of compliance topics such as conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, human rights, trade, and data privacy, and managing the day-to-day operations of the global compliance program. The role also involves leading a global compliance team, conducting enterprise risk assessments, and ensuring that the company is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a JD or equivalent degree, with at least 15 years of experience in law and/or ethics and compliance, particularly within a publicly traded company with global operations or a large global law firm. The role requires domain expertise in areas such as human rights laws, import regulations and trade sanctions, data privacy laws, and anti-bribery law. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage a dynamic workload. A strong sense of integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are essential. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be responsible for maintaining an effective compliance training program, monitoring the performance of the compliance program, and providing regular reports to the Board of Directors and senior management.
