Position Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion for dementia and memory care to join our evening shift team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, individualized care and companionship to residents. The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, and observant and thrives in a supportive care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating
  • Use dementia-informed techniques to provide person-centered care and reduce behavioral expressions of distress
  • Engage residents in therapeutic activities that promote comfort, familiarity, and positive social interaction
  • Monitor and report changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional conditions to nursing staff
  • Support a calm, consistent, and safe environment for residents with cognitive impairments
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Document care accurately and promptly according to facility guidelines
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and team members
  • Participate in ongoing training in dementia and Alzheimer's care practices
Qualifications
  • Active CNA certification in the state of Nebraska
  • Prior experience in dementia/memory care or geriatrics
  • Strong interpersonal and observational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in high-demand or emotionally challenging situations
  • Reliable, compassionate, and committed to teamwork
