Superintendent

Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Rowlett, TX (Greater Dallas area) – reports to the local office and job sites

Why Nations Roof?

At Nations Roof, we’re more than a roofing contractor—we’re a national partner with local expertise, serving clients in all 50 states. We deliver full-lifecycle solutions including repairs, replacements, maintenance, and emergency response. Our certified crews, 24/7/365 National Service Center, and industry-leading EMR of 0.48 set us apart.

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations, ensuring roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Opportunity

As Superintendent, you will oversee roofing foremen, field staff, and subcontractors to drive successful project execution from planning through completion. You’ll be accountable for safety, scheduling, quality control, production goals, and customer satisfaction, serving as the bridge between project management and on-site execution.

This role requires hands-on commercial roofing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors while maintaining quality, efficiency, and client relationships.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership to foremen, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Supervise field staff and subcontractors, providing coaching and oversight to ensure professional installations.
  • Assist with crew leadership as required, ensuring productivity and discipline.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and equipment inspections.
  • Identify training needs, provide mentorship, and coordinate manufacturer or outside training resources.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage day-to-day field operations, scheduling, and production to meet project goals.
  • Review plans and delegate crews, creating site-specific safety plans and pre-job work plans.
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and deliveries—optimizing inventory and minimizing waste.
  • Track labor hours, material usage, and production against goals, reporting variances promptly.
  • Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Submit thorough and timely Daily Project Reports (DPRs) and job documentation.

Quality & Project Oversight

  • Monitor quality of installations through inspections and destructive testing (e.g., weld cuts).
  • Maintain oversight of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Review contract information, change orders, and ensure billing accuracy.
  • Participate in manufacturer inspections, ensuring warranties are secured.
  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and office staff to ensure smooth communication between field and office.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers, answering questions and providing updates.
  • Schedule regular progress reviews with customers and resolve issues promptly.
  • Represent Nations Roof professionally in all client and public interactions.
  • Deliver warranties and confirm customer satisfaction upon project completion.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement best practices for efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Support project managers with take-offs, estimating, and document control.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and other tracking tools for accurate project information.
  • Engage in regular review meetings with project managers and leadership to ensure alignment.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of commercial roofing experience (installation, foreman, or superintendent level).
  • Proven track record managing large-scale commercial roofing projects such as industrial warehouses, retail centers, hospitals, schools, and office complexes.
  • Proven experience managing roofing crews and subcontractors.
  • Experience with multiple roofing systems: TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Metal, and Built-Up Roofing.
  • Background in re-roofing/tear-offs, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency in occupied buildings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or other construction project management software is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; ability to travel frequently between job sites.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and professional development.

Competitive Wages and Exceptional Benefit Package:

  • Full time, Salaried position: (DOE)
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Computer, Company Vehicle (or Car Allowance) and Phone (Company Use Only)
  • Paid Holiday and Paid Time Off (After 90 days)
  • 401(K) retirement programs with employer contribution
