VACANCY DESCRIPTION:
Little Red Preschool is a Nationally Accredited preschool that is looking to hire currently. Join our friendly and supportive community school team! Little Red Preschool School, a partner of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District 4K program, we are a for-profit preschool and are in our 43rd year of providing quality Half-Day Preschool, Full-Day Preschool, School-age, and Summer Programs for Middleton area families. Our mission is to provide high-quality programming for children in which each child’s unique skills are celebrated and needs to be respected. We actively form partnerships with families and the community to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow and develop in ways that are harmonious with their individual needs and interests.
Little Red Preschool is seeking a dynamic and energetic early childhood teacher who will work collaboratively with co-teachers and administration. They should be able to work in a team environment and develop positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. The teacher is expected to create a safe and welcoming environment that nurtures creativity and innovation in half-day and full-day preschool classrooms.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
*Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
*Organize classroom materials and environment to foster curriculum goals and meet the developmental and physical needs of the children.
*Model positive discipline techniques and ensure that appropriate techniques are used to guide children's behavior.
*Work in unison with co-teachers to create and maintain a positive learning environment.
*Maintain a positive relationship with parents while also observing confidentiality.
*Communicate with parents through a weekly newsletter with highlights of the week’s activities.
*Attend monthly staff meetings, continuing education training, and LRP-sponsored events.
*Adhere to all stating Licensing and NAEYC Guidance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
*Strong Early Childhood knowledge and organizational skills.
*Strong and consistent classroom management skills.
*Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community that foster a positive climate in the school.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Willingness to be a part of the school beyond the classroom.
*CPR/AED (If needed we will be provided)
*First Aid (If needed we will be provided)
*Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma Prevention (If needed we will be provided)
