This position will support the operational aspects of Camping Services as well as represent Young Life and the Camping department in a Christ-centered, relational and professional manner. Essential duties include guest services such as assisting with program needs and equipment, property tasks like firewood, lakefront, pool, special maintenance projects, tours, camp prep and shutdown. Housekeeping duties include cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and other cleaning as directed. Food service duties include food preparation, setting tables, meal clean-up, meal service, and operating within sanitation standards. Landscaping and maintenance tasks include emptying trash bins, sweeping, lawn maintenance, washing camp vehicles, and other tasks assigned. Retail duties include organizing store and snack bar merchandise, operating Point-of-Sale system, making change, and processing end-of-shift reports. Working conditions require lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to cleaning chemicals, and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Education required is a High School diploma. Previous work experience is required, and involvement with Young Life is preferred. The job requires conveying Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff, responding promptly and professionally to guest needs, and representing Young Life positively within the community. The location is LoneHollow Ranch in the Texas Hill Country, offering year-round camping and requiring flexibility, innovation, and teamwork. Typical weekly schedule includes 3 days in Housekeeping (Tuesday - Thursday) and 2 days in Retail (Friday & Saturday), with early-morning and late-night openings.
