HR Manager | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Ensure HR compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Develop and implement training programs focused on safety, technical skills, and leadership development.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
• Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices relevant to production facilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and grievance handling for a diverse workforce.
• Experience with talent acquisition and retention strategies for hourly production staff and skilled trades.
• Ability to develop and implement HR policies and programs that support operational efficiency and a positive, safe work culture.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to HR processes.
• Experience working in a unionized environment and managing collective bargaining agreements.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
• Demonstrated experience with safety program development and OSHA compliance within a manufacturing setting.
