Job Description
Will be responsible for assisting the Lab Director in planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within each shift; this includes patient testing, staffing, scheduling, training/re-education, maintaining inventory & submitting all orders to the Laboratory Director. Is competent and able to perform & supervise all laboratory functions and clinical testing across all benches of the laboratory. Must be willing to perform patient testing when needed or required. Must be able to address analytical issues and/or questions across every area of the clinical laboratory. Ensures that competency assessments are completed and evaluated punctually. Works with the Laboratory Director to assure staff schedules are accurate and meeting all staffing needs across the laboratory. Supervises and assists the Lead Medical Technologists in Quality Assurance structure and review. Encourages professional growth and development of staff. Ensure that all lab personnel execute quality customer service at all times. Must have the ability to communicate professional with administration, nursing staff, and physicians.
