Job Summary: The Landscaper performs daily technical functions within the Landscaping department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working within the Landscape Department on various activities, such as assisting the outside landscape company on maintaining the Park, working on concrete repairs and water treatment.
Helping with irrigation problems, tree trimmings, and helping with concrete repairs.
Digging holes, trenches, footings, etc. with shovels, jack hammer, electric shovels, back hoes, bobcat and picks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.
Experience working with chemicals (chlorine/muriatic acid). Experience working on irrigation controllers.
A valid Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.
A basic set of hand tools.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights on ride structures.
Vocational or technical trade certifications.
Demonstrable ability to keep accurate written records, blueprints, diagrams and maps.
Experience working with chemicals (chlorine/muriatic acid) in water treatment processes
Proper use of chemicals for treating (maintaining proper Ph and chlorine levels) and testing.
Experience with filtration pumps, sand filters, cartridge filters, cleaning and repair.
Qualifiers:
Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience to basic landscape
Level 2: Applies skills and knowledge to softscape
Level 3: Applies expert level of knowledge and skills to hardscape
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
