Description:

• Primary Function: Specializes in either facilities and/ or mechanic maintenance.
• Facilities: Performs basic general facilities maintenance under some supervision.
• Mechanic: Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies plant mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs (e.g., fire risers, air compressors).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, safety concerns, and emergencies (e.g., work orders).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies (LOTO).
• Install appliances, equipment, fixtures, and shelving.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical equipment and systems, which may require isolating the malfunction, disassembly, and repair.
• Serve as the site contact for relevant contractors such as roofers, electricians, and inspectors.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of maintenance experience with electrical and plumbing
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used to maintain plant facilities.
• Trade school education or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (25 pounds).
