Position Details Position: Mechanical Engineer Location: Portland Rate/Salary: Depends on experience Type: Perm Duties and Responsibilities Repairs, Servicing, Maintenance and Commissioning of marine engines, controls, HVAC & propulsion units Workshop and Field based work Carry out routine service and repair work on various vessels from pleasure to commercial craft Full workshop overhaul and repairs of marine engines to manufacturer’s standards Carry out new machinery and equipment installations Working on engines from 2hp – 12,000hp on varying engines Experience with engine control systems such as Comap, Deepsea etc Qualifications and Requirements Qualification within Engineering suitable for Marine, Industrial, Commercial roles Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence Must be able to travel as required, main site is in Portland This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.
