Job Description

We firmly believe that the safety and well-being of patients are the highest values when it comes to healthcare. Ensuring these begins with the smallest details – every gram, every millimeter, every decimal point, and every single heartbeat. When it comes to medical evaluations and decisions, there is no such thing as “approximately” or “roughly.” That’s why we always give 100% to achieve the highest quality and precision, benefiting people around the world. We work only with the best to find the optimal solutions for tomorrow, today. For our international corporate group, we are currently looking for a dedicated Medical Affairs Director (m/f/d) for our headquarters in Hamburg – someone who shares our values and standards and is committed to maintaining our position as a global market leader. In this role, you will lead medical strategy and execution across clinical development, evidence generation, and scientific communication. By connecting clinical expertise with innovation and commercial goals, you’ll support product development, market positioning, and stakeholder engagement. You will shape our medical roadmap, build strong KOL relationships, and ensure our scientific efforts align with long-term objectives. Your Responsibilities: KOL Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to support clinical development, product launches, and medical education. Represent the company at key industry events to expand our scientific influence. Medical Advisory: Lead a Medical Advisory Board to challenge ideas, validate strategies, and foster collaboration on current and future value propositions. Strategic Vision: Shape and implement a medical and clinical roadmap that supports company growth and aligns with our long-term vision. Medical Education & Empowerment: Develop and deliver engaging medical education programs for internal teams, sales representatives, healthcare professionals, and patients. Claims Management: Manage product claims and supporting evidence, collaborating with product teams to maintain a robust claims strategy. Clinical Impact: Oversee the design and execution of clinical studies that generate robust, real-world evidence to support our value propositions. Scientific Storytelling: Present data at international forums and contribute to publications that strengthen our thought leadership. Team Leadership: Guide and develop the Medical Affairs team, ensuring clear priorities, collaboration, and high performance. Your Profile: Educational Background: A degree in Medicine (MD), Pharmacy (PharmD), or Life Sciences (PhD or equivalent) is required. Experience: Solid experience in Medical Affairs, clinical development, or related fields within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries. KOL Engagement & Advisory Leadership: Proven ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and lead medical advisory boards. Scientific Communication : Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and German, with the ability to present complex scientific data to diverse audiences. Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong abilities to align medical strategies with business objectives and solve complex challenges. Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills, emphasizing mentorship and cross-functional collaboration. Medical Education & Training: Experienced in developing and delivering effective training programs. What we offer: Free coffee, a fruit basket, and company events – anyone can offer those. We do, too. But what our employees truly value is: The continuity and long-term success-driven development of a family-owned international company, run by the same owners for four generations, and recognized as a “hidden champion” in the medical technology industry. Professional teams that support each other in every aspect. An unlimited contract with an attractive salary package, flexible working hours, modern infrastructure, and a contemporary work environment. On-site sports offerings, including a dedicated in-house personal trainer. A comprehensive onboarding plan that ensures you get to know all relevant areas of the company — and the people behind them — during your first weeks. Have we sparked your interest? If so, we are looking forward to receiving your application along with the job reference number SSG_000241 including your earliest possible start date as well as your salary expectation, through our online application form. #J-18808-Ljbffr Seca GmbH & Co.
