Metal Model Maker

Position Summary for the Metal Model Maker:

We are looking for an experienced Metal Model Maker. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and fabricating metal models to the highest standards of quality and precision. Your expertise in metalworking, mechanical skills, and experience in a prototype environment will be vital in delivering outstanding results.

Shift Times for this Position:

• 1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM (8 Hour Days) and 6:00AM to 4:30PM (10 Hour Days) must be open to working up until 4:30 when needed. - (Monday – Friday & ½ day on Saturday)
• 2 nd Shift (Flexible Start Time): 2:30PM – 4:30PM to 10:30PM – 2:30AM (Varies Between Start time and if we are working 8 Hours or 10 Hours) - (Monday – Friday & ½ day on Saturday)
• 3 rd Shift (Flexible Start Time: 9:30PM-11:30PM to 5:30AM-7:30AM (Varies Between Start time and if we are working 8 Hours or 10 Hours) - (Monday – Friday & ½ day on Saturday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Understand GD&T principles.
• Set up and operate a press brake to bend and shape metal.
• Welding skills are a plus.
• Fabricate metal models in a prototype environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Qualify parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a high level of dependability and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Metal Model Maker in a prototype environment is essential.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding GD&T.
• Ability to set up and operate a press brake.
• Welding skills are a plus.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of metrology tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Proven ability to qualify parts to meet quality standards.
• Dependable and a team player.

Compensation Range:

• Hourly: $32.00 to $45.00
• Time and a Half of Hourly Range after 40 Hours
• Double Time pf Hourly Range on Sundays

Hire Type: Direct Hire
