Mid-to-Senior Level Tax Attorney – International Transactions Focus | New York, NY

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on tax structuring related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations

• Draft and negotiate tax-related provisions in deal documentation

• Conduct in-depth tax research and draft legal memoranda and formal opinion letters

• Collaborate with corporate, finance, and regulatory teams on transaction strategy

• Monitor tax legislation and regulatory developments affecting client interests

• Lead and manage tax aspects across multiple simultaneous transactions

Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of experience as a tax attorney, ideally within an Am Law firm or Big Four accounting environment

• Substantial exposure to corporate tax issues, especially in M&A and private equity contexts

• Proficiency in federal income taxation of corporations and partnerships

• JD from an accredited law school; LL.M. in Taxation is preferred but not required

• Admission to the NY Bar (or another applicable state such as TX or GA); must be in good standing

• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a business-oriented mindset
