Job Summary:

This position is concerned with the performance of dimensional inspection and non-destructive examination of component parts in accordance with the established procedures, specifications, and drawing requirements.

Essential Functions Statement(s)/Skills Required:

\n
• Perform inspections on all parts, assemblies, and fabrications as specified on drawings and job cards.
\n
• Set up assemblies and perform dimensional inspections using scales, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, hold micrometers and other precision gauging equipment.
\n
• Set-up non-destructive tests (NDT) on components. Experience in MT, PT, VT, RT, or UT, is a plus. Record results of the inspection and indicate disposition.
\n
• Work with customer representatives as necessary to review customer inspection points.
\n
• Maintain inspection records and documentation files for inspections performed.
\n
• Perform surveillance on material identification in the shop and in stores; insure segregation of scrap material from material in-process.
\n
• In receiving inspection, work closely with shipper and receiver to ensure that all requirements and specifications are met.
\n
• US Citizenship required at time of hire.
\n

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Graduate, or the equivalent, with additional instruction in NDT and/or Dimensional Inspection. Completion of an apprenticeship program is desirable.

Experience:

\n
• Minimum of two (2) years of NDE and/or Dimensional Inspection experience in an industrial/machine shop environment.
\n
• Minimum of two (2) years of Quality experience preferred.
\n
• Fabrication or Weld inspection experience preferred.
\n
• Blueprint reading knowledge preferred.
\n
• Email knowledge required.
\n

Computer Skills:

• Computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems.

US citizenship is required at time of hire.
