Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator, preferably with tool & die experience, to perform more complex set-up, operation, and maintenance of one or more production machines in assigned work area. The Operator may also assist with training other machine operators.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.
\n
• Performs machine set-up/changeover to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments to meet product specifications.
\n
• Performs first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/ software adjustments.
\n
• Operates equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Makes minor adjustments to correct machine output as needed.
\n
• Performs manual production operations as required, e.g., apply labels, place components, load and unload equipment.
\n
• Visually inspects machine output to verify proper assembly and workmanship standards are being met.
\n
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction.
\n
• Maintains neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

\n
• High school diploma or GED required
\n
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating machines, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
\n
• Tool and Die experience is preferred.
\n
• Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
\n
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
\n

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequent hand motion and repetitive tasks requiring hand eye coordination for assembling parts, occasional immediate reaching and overhead reaching to perform various duties, frequent standing to perform various duties, occasional walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties, extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation.

The hiring rate expected for this position is $28-$32 hourly.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
