Looking to broaden your accounting expertise while gaining international payroll experience in a hybrid office environment? CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a  Payroll & Accounting Specialist for a growing company in the  Dallas area. In this role, you’ll handle full-cycle AP/AR processes, manage U.S. and Canadian payroll functions, and support monthly close activities. What You’ll Actually Do as the Payroll & Accounting Specialist:

• Process bi-monthly payroll for Canadian employees via ADP and U.S. payroll through a PEO platform (TriNet)
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close and audit support
• Handle employee reimbursements and monitor state tax documentation
• Support ongoing financial projects and reporting for the CFO and Controller

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Payroll & Accounting Specialist:

• 3–5 years of combined AP/AR and payroll experience
• Hands-on experience with Canadian payroll systems (preferably ADP)
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite)
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset

 

It’s a bonus if you’ve used:

• TriNet for U.S. payroll processing
• Avalara for tax tracking and reporting
• NetSuite ERP and BambooHR

• Employment type: Contract (12–18 months), temp-to-hire potential
• Schedule: Full-time, core business hours with some flexibility
• Salary/Pay: $45–$52.50/hr (+/- based on experience)
• Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days/week onsite in Dallas, TX 75247
• Benefits: Eligible for benefits through Cornerstone during contract; Eligible for bonus, equity, and enhanced benefits available if converted to permanent
