A law firm seeks a Private Investment Fund and Investment Management Associate to lead private fund formations and oversee investment adviser registration and compliance matters.
Duties
Structure and document private equity, venture capital, credit, and hedge fund formations.
Advise on SEC and state investment adviser registration requirements and filings.
Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and disclosure documents.
Coordinate with regulators, custodians, and service providers to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
Minimum of four years’ experience in private fund formation (PE, VC, credit, or hedge funds).
Demonstrated knowledge of investment adviser registration and regulatory compliance.
Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Education
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Active membership in a U.S. state bar.
Skills
Expertise in legal research and regulatory analysis.
Proficiency in developing compliance programs and drafting policy manuals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective project management and organizational skills.
