Registered Nurse (RN), Cath Lab
Job Type: Full-time | 6:30a-2:30p M-F Call requirements is rotating every 3rd day during week and every third weekend. Additional call may be required based on available staffing

Position Summary:

The Cath Lab RN assesses implementation and evaluation of patients in Cath Lab.

• Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.

• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.

• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate's degree required
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required six months from hire date

License:

• Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Kentucky
