Job Description
Paper & Ink LLC, based in Plainview, Nebraska is seeking a full-time reporter candidate to help with coverage of Paper & Ink's eight newspaper area.
Local candidates of any age (over 18) or experience will be preferred. We want to provide you an opportunity to "move home" and live in your community!
Local knowledge of the community and interest in the area needed. Come join a team preserving each community's history, and reporting on the people in the community!
Join a team with a full time publisher/editor, graphic designers, and a number of support staff to write local stories for individual papers across the company and northeast Nebraska. Photographers welcome, graphic design helpful but not needed - equipment provided.
Be prepared to "do it all" - covering all sections of the communities - city, school, sports, business features, feature stories, calendars, and some pictures.
Candidate must be fluent with computers and general programs, cell, social media and associated products - can train.
Deadline driven, but flexible schedule is available. Evenings or willingness to carry a camera along to events are likely required. Parents with children are welcome.
Hourly wage based on ability to produce content and training needed. Commission for all advertising sales starts at 20%, no limit.
