October Three, an entrepreneurial, team-oriented financial services company on a mission to improve the way people retire, is recruiting for a Defined Benefit Retirement Plan Administrator; Peoplr is excited to be leading this search.

In this role, you will handle ongoing day-to-day benefit plan administration and manage special client projects. You will respond to pension plan participant issues and facilitate requests, consult with participants on specific pension plan provisions, complex retirement plan concepts, payment provisions, and benefit calculation questions. You will work with internal resources, clients, pension plan participants, and third parties across multiple offices and virtual work environments, and respond promptly, thoughtfully, and effectively to changing work environments, changing priorities, and new situations. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Jacksonville, FL, or Irving, TX. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work hybrid after an initial training period.

Must Haves

  • At least 5-8 years of work experience in retirement administration, benefit payment processing, or death administration processing
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Customer service and active listening skills with a capacity to work directly with clients and/or plan sponsors
  • Excellent problem-solving, research, and documentation abilities
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and network drives
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated strong math skills; experience reviewing and auditing work, transactions, and or calculators

Nice-To-Haves

  • Quality control and/or management experience
  • Background working with defined benefit/pension retirement plans
  • Demonstrated proficiency with retirement plan software and related technology
