Newman Roofing is seeking a reliable and experienced Roofing Job Supervisor to oversee daily installations of residential roofing projects. This role requires someone who takes ownership, delivers excellent customer service, communicates clearly, and solves problems efficiently. The ideal candidate will be organized, maintain a professional appearance, and able to represent the company professionally on job sites.

This is a full-time, in-person role based out of our Sunbury, OH office. The Roofing Job Supervisor is expected to report to the office each morning and evening. A company truck and trailer will be provided for travel to job sites throughout Central Ohio during work hours. Supervisors typically manage one primary job per day, allowing for focused oversight and a high level of customer service.

Core Responsibilities

• Positive Attitude : Bring a solutions-focused mindset and a can-do approach to each day. Set the tone for the crew by maintaining a respectful, professional, and optimistic demeanor.
• On-Site Leadership : Oversee daily roofing installation operations, ensuring crews stay on schedule and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Customer Communication : Act as the main point of contact for homeowners during the installation process. Set expectations, provide updates, and handle concerns promptly.
• Troubleshooting : Quickly identify and resolve on-site issues related to labor, materials, or weather to keep the job moving.
• Crew Management : Coordinate subcontractors, promote teamwork, and ensure job site cleanliness and safety.
• Safety Oversight : Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety protocols; perform regular safety checks.
• Professionalism : Maintain a clean and presentable appearance. Uphold the company’s reputation through respectful and professional interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience : Prior roofing or construction experience is preferred (2+ years ideal), but not required for candidates with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with residential roofing systems, tools, and installation best practices is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to our standards is essential.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with homeowners, crews, and internal teams.
• Leadership : Ability to lead and motivate crews, manage job site activity, and solve problems independently. Strong organizational skills required.
• Driver’s License : Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, required for travel to job sites.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, climb ladders, and occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Technology:  Basic proficiency with mobile devices and apps
• Background Check : All candidates must successfully pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
