Job Description

A leading commercial construction firm is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead all estimating operations for their Ridgeland, MS office. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a growing market with the full support of a nationally recognized team.

As the sole Estimator based in Ridgeland, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for all local work and play a critical role in shaping the success the MS office. You will report directly to the Regional Director and collaborate with teams across the organization, including the Corporate Estimating group based in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead Estimator for all projects in the Ridgeland and local areas.
• Develop complete project estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to evaluate scope and pricing.
• Manage all pre-construction activities related to estimating.
• Provide leadership, insight, and oversight on pricing strategy and risk assessment.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients and partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project scopes and budgets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator with increasing responsibility in the commercial construction industry.
• Track record of success leading estimating efforts on large-scale commercial projects.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with remote teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
