We are building Microsoft's cloud storage solution - Microsoft Azure Storage, which is a massively scalable, highly distributed, ubiquitously accessible storage system, designed to scale out and serve the entire world. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.**Responsibilities**+ Design, build, maintain and operate services with high traffic, high resiliency with millions of requests across multiple global regions.+ Implement the next generation of enhancements in the Core Azure Blob Storage service.+ Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning.+ Lead technical projects and model the culture of the team.+ Responding to and mitigating any live site issues impacting customers.+ Proficient troubleshooting (debugging) skills and ability to take projects from beginning to end with little direct supervision.+ Teamwork and coordination skills with ability to create clarity from ambiguity.**Qualifications****Required Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ yearstechnical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Java+ OR equivalent experience.+ 2+ years of distributed systems experience+ 2+ years of live site/on-call rotation experience**Other Requirements:**+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
