Job Title: SMT OperatorJob Description

We are seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join our team, dedicated to maintaining and operating SMT equipment with precision and efficiency. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in SMT operations, including daily machine maintenance and process changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT machines for solder printing, SPI, chip shooting, and reflow processes.
• Perform daily maintenance and changeovers of SMT equipment.
• Measure solder paste height and record data in SPC.
• Check quality of solder printing after paste application.
• Set up feeders and verify or document component exchanges as needed.
• Optionally, hand-load special SMT components before reflow and document the process.
• Control output by managing SMT task time and adhering to all procedures.
• Immediately report any quality issues to the team lead and supervisor.
• Understand all MPI and BOM, and have basic knowledge of electronic component values and packages.
• Follow company policies regarding 6S and maintain discipline in the working area.
• Examine circuit boards for defects such as shorts, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and component placement.
• Conduct lean manufacturing and efficiency improvement projects.
• Maintain quality standards by approving materials during inspections for all products.
• Perform inspections for assemblies and verify conformance to specified dimensions.
• Record defects and use essential tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, and work instructions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in soldering, SMT operations, and surface mount technology.
• Familiarity with PCB and electronics inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using essential tools and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail and autonomy.
• Sense of responsibility and integrity of data.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with Fuji CP / IP / XPF / NXT operation.
• Understanding of IPC-610 standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
