AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Behavior Interventionist for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.

Job Description:

• Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School - Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location.
• Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Pay:

• $1,925.00 - $2,450.00/week DOE and location.

Qualifications:

• Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S.Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, counseling, or similar.
• Must have an active license in the state of Maryland as a Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker (LSW), OR must be a Certified Special Education Teacher with a background in Behavior Intervention and Behavior Assessments.
• Experience in school and/or pediatric setting(s), particularly with children with disabilities, preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Essential Functions:

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Provide direct one-on-one or group behavior support services in home, school, or community settings.
• Collect accurate data on client behaviors and treatment goals during each session.
• Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to manage and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Maintain regular communication with supervising clinicians, caregivers, and educational staff.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all ethical guidelines, confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and Maryland state requirements for behavioral health providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
