Our client is seeking a part-time Test Engineer  for hybrid work in Arlington, VA. Candidate  must  possess an  active  Top Secret  clearance.

Job Description:

The Test Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and execution of automated and manual testing strategies for scalable web applications and data-driven platforms. The ideal candidate has experience in web development testing, API testing, and test automation frameworks, with a preference for candidates who have worked in forensic data processing or similarly complex data environments. This role will ensure software reliability, performance, and security through rigorous testing methodologies and automation best practices. 

Required Skills:

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• At least three (3+) years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation
• Strong experience with web application testing, including front-end and back-end validation
• Experience in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Puppeteer
• Knowledge with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Java for automated test development
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases for validating data integrity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with agile teams

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter, k6, or similar tools
• Experience testing applications in forensic data processing or investigative environments
• Knowledge of security testing methodologies (e.g., OWASP Top 10, penetration testing)
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based testing solutions
• Understanding of object storage solutions and large-scale data processing workflows
