Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of transporting goods efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Duties

• Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage daily transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Supervise and schedule mechanic duties.
• Analyze transportation metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs, reports, and documentation.

Experience

• Proven experience in a transport management role or similar position within logistics or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on metrics.
