Cat Scan Technologist\n\n

Job Description\n

The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Performs complex CT procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
\n
• Reviews and obtains patient clinical history, documenting information in PACS.
\n
• Prepares and verifies the accuracy of contrast questionnaires, indentifying and administering contrast media as prescribed.
\n
• Communicates with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to clarify prescriptions as necessary.
\n
• Obtains outside studies and ensures they are available in PACS for Radiologist comparison.
\n
• Evaluates radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value using PACS.
\n
• Preps patients for scanning, provides explanations and instructions for procedures.
\n
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures.
\n
• Adheres to policies on employee standards, attendance, and punctuality.
\n
• Identifies and addresses the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
\n

\n\nSchedule\n

11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Wednesday-Sunday or Tuesday-Saturday. Holidays required.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• At least 2 years of CT experience is required (5 years preferred).
\n
• Knowledge of GE Equipment, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS is required.
\n
• Must possess NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
\n
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
\n
• ARRT Certified R.T. (CT) license is preferred.
\n
