Alerion Healthcare is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, New York.

\nDescription:

CT Technologist Position\n\nSchedule Details\n

\n
• 3x12.0 structured shift schedule\n
• Overnight shifts: Monday - Thursday - 9:30pm - 8:00am\n
• On call, callback, holidays per unit needs\n

\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n

\n
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety\n
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging\n
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable\n
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test\n
• Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling\n
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion\n
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility\n

\n\nRequirements\n

\n
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)\n
• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)\n
• Two (2) Years' Experience\n
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience\n
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)\n

\n\nPreferred\n

\n
• Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during orientation process\n
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred\n

\n\nSoft Skills Required\n

\n
• Effective written and verbal communication skills\n
• A patient and compassionate disposition\n
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment\n

\n\nAdditional Required Skills\n

\n
• Level I Trauma Experience\n
• CT Tech License (NY ONLY)\n
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)\n
• Two (2) years experience\n
• Siemens Scanner Experience\n
• Epic Experience\n
