The Maryland Insurance Administration is recruiting to fill a Chief Data Officer (CDO) in the Office of the Commissioner at the Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA). The CDO serves as a primary data advisor on analysis, improvement, governance, and oversight to the Commissioner on agency-wide data issues, and plays a key role in ensuring the execution of the data agenda for the Commissioner and leading data governance at the MIA. The incumbent will provide executive leadership in the following areas : Strategy and Planning, Policy & Governance; Quality Assurance and Lifecycle Management; Security & Privacy; and External and Interagency Coordination. The incumbent will work closely with the Maryland Department of Information Technology and the States Chief Data Officer on data privacy, transparency, and governance initiatives.
