Experienced Field Steel Fabricator

Location: Hartland, WI

Shift: First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) with overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $27–$30/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and experienced Steel Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of hands-on experience working with structural steel components such as I-beams and columns, as well as proficiency in blueprint reading, welding, and general shop operations. Experience with stairs and railings is a plus. This role will require travel within the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and fabricate parts from drawings and blueprints.
• Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel components.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain general shop knowledge and adhere to safety standards.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling.
• Travel to various job sites within the area
• Lift heavy objects periodically (up to 50 lbs).
• Work overtime as required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Multiple years working with structural steel fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints.
• Knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.

Preferred Skills

• Experience fabricating stairs and railings.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
