Job Description

**Job Title: Spotter/Fire Watch** **Pay Rate: $18** **Mooresville, North Carolina, 28117** **Job Description** We are seeking two dedicated laborers to serve as spotters for an industrial renovation project at an oil and gas compressor station. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the safety of all personnel and equipment during demolition activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. **Responsibilities** + Monitor and guide the movement of heavy machinery and vehicles to prevent accidents and ensure safe operations. + Communicate clearly with equipment operators using hand signals and radios to direct movements and avoid hazards. + Conduct 360-degree walk-around inspections to identify and mitigate potential obstacles and hazards in the work area. + Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and ensure the safety of all personnel in proximity to operating equipment. + Wear high-visibility clothing and remain in visual contact with operators at all times. + Assist in route planning and ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures. + Assist with various tasks as needed. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience. + Experience in an industrial environment. + Previous experience as a spotter or in a similar safety role within an industrial or construction environment. + Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. + Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others. + Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for operating heavy machinery. **** **Why Work Here?** We offer opportunities for career growth and professional development. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays and potential for additional hours as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, NC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
