Job Description

Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and Sunday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
• Receive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories
• Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity
• Organize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance
• Ensure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work day
• Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals
• Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel room

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification- Required:

• 1-year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel

Knowledge and Certification- Preferred:

• Previous lead experience in a similar position

Skills- Required:

• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Abilities- Required:

• Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure
• Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
• Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage
• Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
