We welcome applicants from all backgrounds: New to commercial driving – we provide paid CDL trainingExperienced drivers (CDL-A/B, delivery, shuttle, transit)Veterans & military service membersParents, retirees, and those seeking part-time or split-shift workCustomer service, retail, hospitality, camp counselors, coaches, school support staff, Medical transport drivers, nursing home drivers, patient transfer specialists, trades & mechanicsResponsibilities: Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routesTransport students to and from school, sports, and eventsPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsMaintain a clean, safe bus environmentCommunicate courteously with students, parents, and school staffFollow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules Company name is : Durham School Services Pay Range for routed drivers is $22.60 - $28.18 per hour.Paid Training at $16.00 per hour Qualifications Requirements Include: Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, must be at least 25 years of age per state law.Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state license and other required certifications to operate company vehicles.Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; as a safety-sensitive employee, will be subject to random substance abuse screening under Company policy.Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.Must practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by practicing safe driving and work habits.Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract specific Driver requirements.
