Job Title: Travel Tech – Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Facility: Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC Shift:

• Days: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Occasional Evenings: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Rotating Weekends: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Overview: Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control and calibration.
• Collect, process, and analyze specimens with precision and efficiency.
• Document and report test results accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent required.
• Current certification as MLT (ASCP or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
