Position Summary

The position builds, repairs and maintains forms used in the precast concrete process. This includes but is not limited to inspecting the forms, making repairs as needed and/or modifying forms to meet production needs.

Principle Accountabilities

• Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
• Assists in performing preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Inspects forms to locate areas with low or high spots to ensure proper stripping. Maintains and repairs catwalks and ladders to OSHA standards. Welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Fabricates new forms as products are developed.
• Utilizes a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs to equipment or machinery. Uses welding and metal finishing techniques to repair defects on core and jackets. Assists with form changeovers and/or modifications as needed.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Ability to interpret drawings for final assemblies.
• Knowledge of best tools to use for specific purpose.
• Knowledge of how to set up a welding machine and monitor quality of work.
